Cubis, the curious little monkey with bright eyes and endless energy, had always been fascinated by everything around him. But never before had he met a puppy. One sunny morning, as Cubis played in the courtyard, a small, fluffy puppy arrived—timid and unsure, with ears that flopped and eyes full of wonder. His name was Milo.
At first, Cubis froze. He tilted his head, studying the tiny creature who wagged its tail nervously. Milo let out a soft woof and took a step back. Cubis blinked, unsure whether to be scared or excited. He had seen birds, cats, even ducks—but this little fluffball was something entirely new!
Gently, Cubis moved closer, his hands tucked behind his back. He offered a piece of banana, his favorite treat. Milo sniffed it, unsure, then cautiously took a nibble. Cubis let out a delighted squeal and clapped his hands. That tiny moment of trust became the start of an unexpected friendship.
Soon, curiosity replaced fear. Cubis began hopping around playfully, inviting Milo to chase him. Milo hesitated, then joined in with joyful barks. They ran through the grass, Cubis swinging from tree branches while Milo bounded below, tail wagging wildly. Every now and then, Cubis would pause to pat Milo’s head, gently tracing his soft fur.
Their bond grew stronger throughout the day. Cubis shared his snacks; Milo shared his warmth. When Cubis sat on a rock, Milo curled beside him, resting his head on Cubis’s lap. The little monkey looked down with wide, tender eyes, gently stroking the puppy’s ear. For the first time, he understood what it meant to have a friend who listened without words.
As the sun set, painting the sky with gold, the two new friends lay side by side, tired from play but comforted by each other’s presence. Cubis wrapped his tail around Milo, as if to say, “You’re safe with me.”
From that day on, they became inseparable—laughing, playing, exploring the world together. And though they were different, their hearts spoke the same language: friendship, pure and true. Cubis had found more than just a playmate—he had found a brother.
