Lala is happy when Mom gives her baby ducks to be her friends!

Lala, the cheerful little monkey, had been feeling a bit lonely lately. Though she loved playing in the garden and climbing the mango trees, she often wished she had someone to share her laughter and games with. One sunny morning, as she sat quietly by the window, Mom arrived with a small woven basket held gently in her arms. Lala’s eyes widened with curiosity. “What’s inside, Mama?” she asked eagerly.

Mom smiled softly and placed the basket in front of her. To Lala’s surprise, two tiny baby ducks peeked out, softly chirping “peep, peep!” Their fluffy yellow feathers glowed like sunshine. Lala gasped with joy, her little hands clapping excitedly. “Are they… for me?” she whispered. Mom nodded. “These baby ducks need a friend, and I know you’ll be the perfect one.”

Lala’s heart danced. She gently lifted one of the ducklings, careful not to startle it. “Hello, little friend,” she said, her voice filled with love. The duckling snuggled into her palm, and Lala giggled. She quickly named them Pipi and Coco. From that moment on, she wasn’t lonely anymore.

Throughout the day, Lala showed her new friends everything. She led them to a shallow puddle where they splashed happily, flapping their tiny wings. She picked flowers to decorate a cozy corner for them and even shared her bananas, laughing when Pipi tried to nibble one. Coco followed closely behind her everywhere, waddling adorably.

Mom watched from a distance, her heart warm with pride. Lala was gentle, patient, and full of care. In the evening, Lala wrapped the ducklings in a soft cloth and whispered, “I will take care of you forever.” She felt a deep happiness she had never felt before—because now she had friends to love.

Before bedtime, Lala hugged her mom tightly. “Thank you, Mama. I’m not lonely anymore.” Mom smiled, brushing her hair. “True friends can come in many forms. Just love them, and they will love you back.”

With Pipi and Coco sleeping by her side, Lala closed her eyes peacefully. Tomorrow would be full of new games, laughter, and tiny webbed footsteps. For the first time, Lala’s little world felt completely full.
