From the moment Lala saw the tiny ducklings waddling behind their mother, her heart melted. She adored their soft yellow feathers and the way they chirped excitedly every time she approached. One sunny afternoon, as the ducklings gathered around a small water bowl, Lala noticed how they eagerly dipped their beaks, wishing for more space to splash. An idea sparked in her mischievous yet caring mind—they need a swimming pool!
“Mom!” Lala called, tugging on her mother’s sleeve. “Can you make a swimming pool for the ducklings? They want to swim like real ducks!” Her eyes sparkled with determination, and her mother couldn’t help but smile at her sincerity. Though busy with chores, Mom agreed, knowing Lala’s love for animals ran deep.
Together, they searched the backyard for supplies. Lala carried a plastic tub while Mom brought a hose. Lala carefully cleaned the tub, making sure not a single speck of dirt remained. “It has to be perfect,” she insisted. When the pool was ready, she gently guided the ducklings toward it, whispering, “This is for you, little friends.”
At first, the ducklings hesitated, peering curiously into the water. But soon, one brave duckling hopped in, followed by the rest. Lala clapped with joy as they paddled around, flapping their tiny wings and splashing playfully. Their happy chirps filled the air, and even Mom couldn’t stop laughing at their excitement.
Lala knelt beside the pool, gently encouraging them. “See, now you can swim like real duckies!” She felt proud—her simple idea had made them so happy. Mom watched quietly, touched by her daughter’s kindness. “You have a gentle heart, Lala,” she whispered. “The world needs more love like yours.”
When the sun began to set, Lala helped dry the ducklings with soft cloths, making sure none were cold. She tucked them safely into their little shelter and gave each a soft kiss on the head. As she walked back to the house, she felt warmth in her chest—today, she hadn’t just played; she had cared.
That night, before bed, she whispered to Mom, “Tomorrow, I’ll build them a slide.” Mom chuckled, knowing this was only the beginning of Lala’s beautiful bond with her feathered friends.
